Please note: Times are approximate and can vary according to classroom participation and discussion. Instructors will make every effort to adhere to the program schedule.

Program Materials
Each participant will receive:

1 Master Tax Guide for 2007 (Softcover Book)
1 Text: Tax Update for 2007 (Binder, CD Rom, and Supplement)
1 State of Michigan Guide for 2007

Certification and Credits
Certification requires that you sign in each morning and afternoon of the program. Participants who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Michigan for 16 hours. This certificate, issued by the University, provides documentation of your attendance to your professional association for Tax Preparers, Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, Attorneys or Certified Financial Planners. You may also receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the University of Michigan. Credits are awarded as follows: Tax Planning: 14 hours, Ethics: 2 hours.

Overnight Accommodations
Participants are responsible for making arrangements for overnight accommodations. A temporary room block is put in place near each location for your convenience. We recommend that you mention the UMtax program for a discounted rate. Room blocks are released 30 days prior to the program at which time room availability and rates are subject to change. If you are attending a session located in a conference center, please contact our office at 734.764.5297 or consult the website for the hotel nearest the conference center.

Registration and Check-in
Registration will be held outside the conference room from 7:30am - 8:30am. Please check with the hotel/conference facility for the location of the conference room when you arrive. Certification rules require that you sign-in each day, morning and afternoon.

Parking
Parking is free at all of our current locations. Participants are responsible for their own parking costs, where applicable.

Food
Coffee and pastries are provided before the program. There are mid-morning and afternoon breaks each day. Lunch is provided on both days. If you have special dietary needs, please advise us. We will arrange for alternative choices, if available.

Attire
Please dress comfortably and remember that conference rooms can vary in temperature throughout the day.

Phones & Pagers
We ask that you turn off your phone or pager when you are in the classroom as a courtesy to fellow participants and instructors.

Inclement Weather
The University of Michigan is not likely to cancel an Institute unless there is extremely severe weather. Please contact the University at 734.764.5297 if you suspect a session may be canceled due to severe weather. You may also wish to contact the conference center or hotel directly, as we will keep them informed.
