University Health Services

University Health Service (UHS) offers a full range of outpatient medical services for summer program participants.

Fee-For-Service or Prepaid Plan

UHS services are available either on a fee-for-service basis or through the UHS Prepaid Plan. If your program purchases the Prepaid Plan for participants, most services (e.g. office visits, laboratory, X-ray) at UHS are provided at no additional charge. If participants use UHS on a fee-for-service basis, payment is required at the time of the visit. UHS will prepare itemized statements for participants to send to their insurance companies for reimbursement.

Walk-in Services

Program participants may use the UHS walk-in services without an appointment.

Minors

Minors under the age of 18 are required to bring or have on file at UHS a medical consent form signed by a parent or guardian authorizing treatment.

Adult members of the summer program staff must escort minors to UHS. There are no exceptions.

About University Health Services

UHS is located at 207 Fletcher Street across from the Michigan League, between the Power Center and the Dental School.
