Meeting Facilities
The
University of Michigan is one of the largest universities
in the world in terms of building space. With more that
20 million square feet of space in our classrooms, auditoria,
sport and performance venues, we are sure to have the space
you need to host a successful program.
Administering such a huge inventory can make for challenges to those interested in renting. Conference Services staff has established relationships throughout campus to help you get the space you need.
The Michigan Advantage: Superb Campus Facilities
With its numerous auditoriums and excellent meeting rooms, the University of Michigan is an ideal setting for events of almost any size.

The Rackham Building houses a 1,100 seat lecture hall, a 240 seat amphitheatre, and five smaller meeting rooms. Its fourth floor outdoor balcony, 4,000 square feet of galleries, and an expansive lobby provide wonderful venues for receptions, displays, or meals. Its location in the heart of Central Campus makes it an ideal meeting site.
A wide variety of meeting and banquet rooms are also available
at various campus locations, including the Mendelssohn Theater,
Palmer Commons, Pierpont Commons, Michigan Union, and Michigan
League. These locations can accommodate anywhere from 220
to 600 people each. For smaller groups, a wide variety of
meeting rooms and classrooms are available. In addition,
we can arrange for stages, sound equipment, and the latest
audio-visual technology including video-conferencing.
