Supervision

Daytime supervision is provided by the Athletic Sports Camp staff from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including lunch and dinner supervision in the dining hall.

The Conferences Services staff provide in-residence athletes with a supervisory staff which includes: a Camp Director, an Assistant Camp Director, six skilled camp coordinators, fifty trained camp counselors and ten terrific office staff persons, all ready to supervise and to direct campers while they are in the residence hall in the evening and overnight. When the campers return to the residence hall after their last session, Conference Services staff will provide a variety of supervised evening activities. Conference Services staff work official hours from 8:00 PM until 8:00 AM, providing evening and overnight supervision.

Daytime Supervision

Walk Down Supervision

The residence hall is located several blocks from the athletic campus.

Coach staff should meet the campers at the residence hall in the morning and walk them to the athletic site. Campers will also need to be walked to and from meals. In order to eliminate confusion, we suggest a set meeting time and place so that the campers know when and where to meet their coach so he/she can take attendance.

Meal Supervision

Coaches are required to attend each meal to supervise their campers in the dining hall. We encourage all commuter campers to purchase meals and eat in the dining hall with their fellow campers. If you have commuter campers who choose not to purchase meals in the dining hall, there will be another eating location provided in the residence hall for those campers with sack lunches. Coaches must supervise these campers too.

Finding a Missing Camper

We generate an alphabetical list of campers (the “Alpha List”) that includes each camper’s name, room number, room phone number, and sport.

If you are looking for any campers, the camp office staff can refer to the Alpha List and call or check the rooms of any missing campers. Taking attendance at the beginning of each session ensures each camper is accounted for.
