Your Camp Staff
The Summer Wolverine Summer Camps employs the services of many people from both the Athletic Department and University Housing. To help sort it out, the definitions below explain the many different roles.
Athletic Department Staff
Athletic personnel involved in the Wolverine Summer Camps:
- Sports Camp Staff – a general term used to describe staff that report to the Athletic Department.
- Coaches – lead the camp athletic programs.
- Trainers – provide athletic training to campers and stay over night in the residence hall to provide medical assistance to campers. Each sport has its own Trainer.
- Athletic Camp Director – oversees the athletic side of the camps.
- Assistant Athletic Camp Director – reports all incidents involving campers to the respective coach, maintains the coach’s check in log during evening Activities and acts as a liaison between Wolverine Summer Camps and the Athletic Department.
University Housing Staff
The camp supervisory staff for the residential campers is comprised mainly of University of Michigan students, both undergraduate and graduate.
- Camp Staff – a general term used to describe staff that report to University Housing.
- Camp Director – oversees the residential side of the camps.
- Assistant Camp Director – assists the Camp Director in overseeing the residential side of the camps.
- Camp Coordinators – a general
term used to describe the camp supervisory staff.
- Camp Counselors
– supervise Campers during evening activities
and overnight in the residence hall.
- Camp Office Staff – provides administrative services for the Wolverine Summer Camps in the residence hall.
